Alicia’s Birthday

Last weekend was a good one. Alicia had her last birthday in her twenties. To celebrate we got a bunch of good friends together and went to the Castro. Foodage was had at Lime which serves amazing sharable dishes which taste just great. we followed this up with a trip to Mint for Karaoke. Unfortunately the DJ there had other thoughts, and only gave our entire group one song throughout the whole night. Wont be going there again. However, Matt and Alicia rocked the house with a great rendition of love shack.

We ended the night in Butter, where the details get hazy, but girls dancing on the bar seems to be a prominent memory.

Here are some pics of the fun

Easter Weekend

It has been far too long since I last blogged on this website. So much has happened since September 2007…seems like such a long time ago. I bought a house, got married, became two years older (not wiser). If you are wondering about the wedding you can catchup on all the photos and the official video by visiting the wedding blog at pastrybird.com.

So lets get all up to date and talk about recent happenings. Last night we were privileged to have dinner at the wonderful Gary Danko restaurant. The meal was epic, about 6 courses with quite a few freebies thrown in. I had a nice Fooey Grass appetizer and a duck main course - the best duck I think I’ve ever had. It was so delicious I completely forgot I was eating Duck and thought I was eating heaven. Alicia had a crab salad and some kind of fishy main course. She was comped an oyster and caviar specialty which she had to force down - its normally me that doesnt like things so it was quite enjoyable watching her force it down (sorry dear). All this was washed down with a delicious Hungarian/Californian wine (yes - it sounds odd - but it was lovely) and we also had the Cheese plate and a dessert. The desserts obviously werent as nice as Alicia’s but they were OK ;-)

This meal rounded off a fantastic Easter weekend of eating, with both Alicia’s parents and Sarah’s Mum cooking us fabulous dinners.

Motorbike!

Some of you may not be too happy about this - but I got a motorbike this week. Here are some pics!
