Marin Headlands bike ride

Went on a really long bike ride on Saturday. Took a few pictures you can see by clicking on the picture to the left. We went around the Marin headlands. It was only a total of about 40 miles that we rode – but a lot of that was uphill making it seem like a lot more. We also went down the worng trail and had to turn around and push our bikes back up a really steep hill when we hit a set of pedestrian only steps. oops. Now if you want to get a feeling for where the video was taken, you can take a look on google maps here and if my calculation is about right you can then zoom out and see how far we went from the city. According to the trail maps we were at about 920′ elevation at the peak. Heres a little video to show the types of views we see on our rides. Watch out for the butterfly and the half naked Ben!

Kecia and Geno – husband and wife!
Alicia glowing

Just got back from Woodland, California (somewhere near Sacramento) where we attended the marriage of Geno and Kecia at the Saint Therese Vineyard The event was great and very, very hot! We spent a long weekend over there. Staying at the Cache Creek Casino which is an Indian reservation casino – which means its one of the few places in Cali that you can gamble. We tried our hands at some slots and the roulette table and didnt end up too down! The wedding was on Saturday. Ben and I (who helped as ushers) arrived at 4pm after spending the day at the pool at the casino. We arrived to a very organized scene with Michelle taking control and making sure everything was ready for when the guests arrived. The ceremony was lovely and the sun glared down as Kecia and Gene made their promises. Kecia looked gorgeous and its great to see her get hitched to a great guy like Geno. We ended the day with lots of beer, lovely food and dancing. Click on the photos above for more images of the event.

80’s night!

Last night was 80’s night at Kells. It was a charity evening organized by the Warvel Marvel. It was a classy night, very fun. Highlights: * Alicias fabbo 80’s costume and makeup * The 80’s tv/movies on the telly in Kells – Knight Rider, Charles in Charge, A-team, ALF, Miami Vice….way cool! * Jello shots and wine coolers (what the hell are wine coolers anyway?) * The music – although I have to confess that america 80’s music is very different from the music I remember back home.
